Casuarina Senior College

Jingili Primary School has forged a mutually beneficial relationship with Casuarina Senior College (CSC) focused on building students literacy skills and have a memorandum of understanding. Students from CSC visit Early Childhood classrooms to get to know Jingili students interests and learning behaviours. They use this knowledge to write books for early childhood students which they will return and share over the course of the term. Many benefits are evident from the partnership, including the development of social skills, oral language, reading and writing. The highlight though is the relationships that are built and high level of engagement that occurs. Jingili Primary Students are fortunate to be a part of this initiative and know that Casuarina Senior College staff and students feel just as grateful.
